Who Are We
A touch rugby club for the City of Bath.
The club was formed by a group of dedicated Bath touch players who saw a need for a team to represent their city, but also a way to increase exposure of the great sport of touch.
What Do We Do
Our current objectives are:
- to promote touch rugby in the Bath region as a sport anyone can take part in (young, old, man or woman) and to contribute to the sport’s growth all across the UK;
- to organise the very succesful and very popular Bath Touch Tournament (now part of the England Touch Association's National Touch Series);
- to provide a touch team that represents the City of Bath in the many touch tournaments that take place all over the UK.
- to continue raising money (via the Bath Touch Tournament) for our chosen charity, the RUH Forever Friends Appeal. The charity is currently raising money for the new NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) ward at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
We also provide information on any touch related events (competitions, referee training, international team trials) that may be happening in the region and the UK as a whole.
We are a point of contact for anyone interested in being part of touch rugby in Bath.
Our Aims
Our main aim is to increase the exposure of touch rugby in Bath and the UK. As well as continuing with what we currently do, we also hope to take touch rugby into schools in the area, and to bring some kudos to the game by attempting a Guinness World Record™ for the longest ever game of touch.
